CrowdStrike’s Falcon Forensics Platform Receives FedRAMP Authorization

The Falcon Forensics Platform from CrowdStrike has been awarded FedRAMP authorization. This implies that government agencies can now avail its benefits.

The platform has been designed to enable faster response time besides remediation of security concerns in order to process detailed data analysis on the pre-packaged dashboards.

“Falcon Forensics is developed for capturing the right forensic artifacts at scale and presenting them in an easy-to-consume interface”, explains Thomas Etheridge, SVP, CrowdStrike Services.

President Biden has recently issued an EO (Executive Order) on enhancing the country’s cybersecurity measures. Agencies have been provided with clear instructions on modernizing IT infrastructure through implementation of cloud adoption, zero trust architectures and critical security controls. The May 12 dated EO from Biden aims to protect networks in the public, private and federal sectors. The other intention behind the introduction of this EO is to empower information sharing between the private sector and the U.S government.

The Falcon Forensics Platform is being viewed as a significant development towards achieving these.

Falcon Forensics on GovCloud enables incident responders equipped with the capability to investigate security breaches or possibilities faster and in-detail. What enables these include detailed data analysis via highly comfortable pre-packaged dashboards to assist in finding adversary’s past activities.

CrowdStrike, has been redefining security in the contemporary cloud era through workload and endpoint protection platform built from scratch to control breaches. The Falcon platform’s exclusive lightweight-agent architecture utilizes cloud-scale AI to offer real-time safety and visibility within the enterprise.

CrowdStrike has also launched Falcon Complete on GovCloud. This move is in sync with the efforts to assist government enterprises protect themselves independently through the cloud based  MRD (managed response and detection) tool.

FedRAMP, the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program aims at providing a risk-based and cost-effective approach to enhance the adoption and utilization of highly secure cloud services by government agencies.
